Mom & I have been discussing our observations of ELs on our last two visits. When we visited over Memorial Day weekend, it had been eight weeks since we had seen ELS in late March - back in March, ELs was content to be held and her eyes focused on the person holding her - by Memorial Day weekend, that was no longer the case. By late May, ELs till wanted to be held, but only if you held her so that she could look out at the world and attempt to stand on your lap and bounce or jump up and down - she was so focused on the world around her and she was absorbing everything she saw. Last weekend, ELS still wanted to stand on your lap and bounce - but had now added "talking" and blowing raspberries - "talking" may be an exaggeration as no words (as we know the language) were being formed - but ELs sure was expressing herself. It is fascinating sitting back as a grandparent and watching our grandchild move through growth stages as the months progress. As parents, we were so focused on the activities required in getting through each day that I know the quantum leaps that are made by our children passed us by - it would only be after the fact when we would look back and say Kate, and then Rachel, just went through such & such a growth/development stage. We are enjoying watching ELs grow and assimilate the world around her and we love all three of you.

She is growing so fast and more beautiful everyday. Won't be long and I'll have to shop for a gardeners outfit for her. She'll need an apron, tools - well you know. Can hardly wait to plant her first flower with her.
    Love you all so much.

Good news on the dimples - trust the final report will confirm they are, in fact, just dimples. Enjoy the updates on Els, etc - looking forward to our next visit in two weeks. Love the three of you.

She gets cuter all the time. How about posting some baby pictures of Kate and Will so we can see who she looks like the most!

    Love

Little Els seems to be adapting to life very nicely and growing up fast. I remember the blur of the first year for her Mom. Glad you two are taking the time to record and enjoy each day. Looking forward to your visit this coming week. Nana can hardly contain herself.

Those photos are great. You can see her personality starting to come through as she's getting more alert and active. It's really amazing to see how much she's changed in the past 6 weeks. It's awesome. I'm so glad you guys have this website.
